Truly is a fantastic British designer, sewing all her retro knickers in her own shop, set on a cobbled street in her hometown of Frome, and voted 'The Trendiest shop in Somerset' by Somerset live.
She came to me with an idea to create days of the week knickers inspired by the popular fortune-telling song Monday’s Child, which supposedly reveals your character and future luck from your day of birth (I'm a Friday child!).
The line turned out so beautifully, subsequent collections in the same style, for the seasons, 'birthday', 'weekend', and 'today' pants.
Monday's child is fair of face
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.
“ I found Tamsyn Gill Designs on instagram and was instantly drawn to
her colourful, playful style, which my fashion label also celebrates.
We started working together in 2021, developing my new range of floral
designs ready to launch into the digital world for printed apparel and
fabric. I found the process fun and appreciated her eye for detail and
design style, understanding my brand identity completely. Tamsyn is easy
to communicate with and i am always able to work well with her online
and face to face.
I continue to work with Tamsyn on graphic, illustrative projects; from
shop promo flyers to recreating and designing images for printed
collections.
I highly recommend her skills!
