This design practice goes by many names: live illustration, scribing, or graphic recording to name a few.
I go to conferences, meetings, and events to listen and distil the key takeaways of the day into a clear and attractive infographic. The designs are then ready by the end of the day for the company to use immediately.
It is the perfect way to enliven presentations, create engagement and curiosity from the public, and make memorable and easily accessible information in a form that doesn't melt your brain. The attractive illustrations can them be used again and again, online and on social media, in meetings, presentations and displays in the office.

The Emergence Festival in Frome is focused on celebrating mothers in the arts. The creators invited me to record their feedback session to evaluate and celebrate what went well, and what the possible future of the festival might look like. I used their brand colours throughout and hand-drawn lettering.

Super Roots, Somerset. As the subject was based around empowering children and the future they wish for I wanted to capture the hope and joy of the project using the most colourful acrylic paint pens and chunky/friendly typography.
In 2025 Spark Somerset asked me to come by their 2 hour meeting, 'Shaping Volunteering in Frome'.
Creating the designs in real time I hopped between three tables discussing multiple subjects to capture key information. I have since been asked back by Spark Somerset to work on other projects promoting volunteering in Somerset.
These informational bites come from a day-long conference with the ORN (Outdoor Recreation Network) a network of public agencies based across the UK and ROI involved in outdoor recreation and related fields such as the natural environment, outdoor activities, and tourism and health.
This includes the National Trust, Ordnance Survey, The MOD, RSPB, and the National Parks Authority, to name just few. The themed was centred mostly around accessibility in nature and was a fascinating day.
